This year’s Honorary Uppland Resident is Cecilia Rydinger Alin

OD’s conductor since 2008, professor Cecilia Rydinger Alin has been named Honorary Uppland Resident 2011.

”Cecilia Rydinger Alin has contributed to the renewal of an activity wrought in tradition that is very much a part of Uppsala and what Uppsala is about”, comments the Governor of the County of Uppsala Peter Egardt.

Among earlier awardees are found notable Swedes like Lasse Åberg, Eric Ericson, Hans Dalborg and Peter Englund.
