The male-voice choir Orphei Drängar’s recordings are now available via the online music service Spotify ( www.spotify.com). The recording company BIS is now making all of OD’s albums available on Spotify.

“I’m delighted to make BIS artists available on Spotify, as we previously did on iTunes and a number of other music sites. This is important, because in the long run this is how music is going to be distributed,” says Robert von Bahr, CEO of BIS.

OD’s huge production of recordings comprise a broad spectrum of male-voice choir music, with everything from spring and Christmas songs to newly composed pieces by well-known Swedish and foreign composers. Malena Emman and Peter Mattei are among the many soloists appearing with Orphei Drängar.

“OD sells a great many CDs, an uncommon number for a Swedish choir, but I hope that now, with BIS making our music available online, we will be able to reach out to new target groups and find more lovers of male-voice choral music,” says Cecila Rydinger Alin, director of Orphei Drängar.
