The Uppsala University Foundations Management of Estates and Funds, called Uppsala Akademiförvaltning in Swedish, is one of the largest private property owners in Uppsala. We offer companies and private individuals premises and housing in attractive locations in Uppsala. The number of residential apartments we communicate with students and individuals is about 800 and in total we offer 150,000 square meters for offices, hotels and shops. We work actively for sustainable development through our energy policy.

Uppsala Akademiförvaltning manages rental properties but also has departments for land, forests and securities. Our mission since 1624 is to manage trusts which are linked to Uppsala University. This means that we can say that we are long-term and that all earned funds will cover research and education in Uppsala.

Uppsala University is Sweden’s and the Nordic region’s first university – founded in 1477 – and is ranked among the top 100 universities in the world. The university is divided into three scientific areas: humanities and social sciences, medicine and pharmacy, and science and technology. These are in turn divided into nine faculties and nearly 50 departments in total. The number of students is about 42,000 and the number of employees about 7,000.
