The grand finale of the Baltic Sea Festival invites you to an evening of drama and rich musical expression. Esa-Pekka Salonen conducts the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, joined by soprano Aphrodite Patoulidou, baritone Peter Mattei, saxophonist Asya Fateyeva, and Orphei Drängar.
The programme opens with Erkki-Sven Tüür’s new Saxophone Concerto – a work that looks towards the future – before Sibelius’ monumental Kullervo transports us into the mythical world of the Finnish epic.
